It's our last week before winter break! For our morning ELA and math work, we continued practicing some of the main concepts we've been exploring this semester. For math, we engaged in different games where we had to pair different representations of numbers together. For instance, students matched numbers with groups of objects, tally marks, dice, and more. We also designed our own monsters and counted the number of eyes each student added to theirs, and how many this made all together! In ELA, we've been practicing short vowel sounds and middle sounds of words. We made covers to our "vowel books" (the crafts we have been making about each vowel), and designed them with collages!
